Only a breath apart
Our souls
Wrapped around
Each other
In this highly anticipated
Reunion
Forgotten worlds
Vowed promises
Reflect from your eyes
I recognize you
Undeniably
So much to say
Yet I lose my ability to speak
In any other language
Than unconditional love
My heart begs me
To reveal you
My solution
Promise you
We will make it
To the other side
Of our forever
Unfortunately,
I am not
The writer
Of your destiny
I just hold your face
In my palms
And wait…
For your lips
To greet mine
Silently praying
You’d inhale
Even a little bit
Of the faith
That whirls
In me
The song
We used to hum
Separately
Turns into a sweet duet
When our lips touch
And we breathe hope
In eternal harmony

I am staggered by the beauty of this, Noora. At the same time I am stunned… by what I do not even know…..

These few lines sliced through the heart like the swift slide of a familiar dagger. Such a pang! What a pang… as if I have written these lines with my own blood once… somewhere… somewhere lost, yet within.
Speechless I am……

I suppose the whispers of Unconditional Love echoes itself through silence in “one color”. Perhaps our “inks” are tinted in it, hence this familiarity.
Honestly, Noora, while sitting here, savoring some of your poems gave me jolts none other ever has — forcing me to read your heart and read mine again.. over and over again.
Thank you, my friend. For this mirror. After all Love is Love, light of the Light. Keep flowing in yours, wonderful poetess!
