Update: going on a vacation

My suitcase is packed and I’m ready to go. I’m flying to the island of Crete tomorrow afternoon. It is a place that has been calling my name for some years now and I need to find out why.

I will catch up with your posts when I return on July 20th. I’m hoping to return with a few new poems.

Happy writing and much love to you all!

    1. Thanks, Frank!! You’ve been to Crete? I’m so much looking forward to this trip. I had never even thought about travelling to Crete… until some years ago when I started to have a lot of Crete related dreams. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, dear Karen! I know this is a journey I need to take. I hope to return with a few poems, smiling heart AND a nice tan! lol. Love and smiles to you. Always.

    1. I totally forgot to reply! My hotel was in Chania (in Nea Chora) but I visited in Rethymno, Heraklion and SEVERAL lovely little villages – especially on the south coast of west Crete.

  1. Noora, may I dare ask if your heart were able to find the echoes of the song “time’s tune” was beckoning you for years? There is a land that has been calling me for years — hence, thought your brief journey’s experience may help me keep faith in the call strong.

Ofcourse, I know you had a fantastic time in Crete *smile* And, I must say that the poem you have shared after returning is amazingly eloquent!!
Keep penning, keep flowing… keep following your heart, brave soul.

    1. Hey there. πŸ™‚ It was more than I could’ve ever imagined. The island truly is breathtakingly beautiful and mysterious, and the Cretans are so lovely, so hospitable. I am definitely going back – there’s still so much to see and experience.
