Poet’s Eyes

Hands in paint
Fingertips aching
Dripping
With artistic desire
To paint
The indescribable

As I embrace
Your nakedness
Physical and emotional
With my poet’s eyes

Rationality abandoned
Senses awakened
I surrender to the unknown
For my heart is my guide
And love is my gravity

Hands in paint
Fingertips aching
Dripping
With ardor and fervor

I watch you
Come alive
Through my poet’s eyes

    1. This piece was one of those poems that just poured out onto the paper – completely unplanned. I wasn’t even going to post it at first. My writing process is usually quite slow but very dedicated. 🙂 I am flattered that you like them.

    1. Thank you so much for reading and leaving your thoughts, John! I appreciate it a lot. Oh, and thank you also for the “follow” – following you back and looking forward to reading your poems and other posts.

  1. Very lovely, as usual!! Especially this part: “For my heart is my guide / And love is my gravity”

By the way… When will you be posting that Erato poem? 🙂 Please pardon my impatience.
