I have always been a stargazer
Admired mythical constellations
With wonder and awe
But now
There is no need
To gaze up the night canvas
In order to seek
Infinite beauty
If somewhere is heaven
It is right here
In your eyes
They were the beginning
And will be the end
Of me
So, please
Take my hand
Let’s dive deep
Into intimacy
We have already crossed
The point of no return

I promised to share old stuff until I get something new written. This poem poured out of me more than six years ago.
Love, peace and inspiration,
– Noora
Is the same love still fresh?

We dove quite deep into the unknown, but… the journey is over. Thanks for reading, Jain! 🙂

It was a lovely poem. Does the past sweep over you when you repost poems from another time?

Thank you! It was definitely a lovely era of my life.
Sometimes it does, but not always/as powerfully anymore. It depends on the topic. I used to avoid posting old poems, but I’ve overcome that. I cherish my past and these pieces build a mosaic of my journey. I guess I’m in a good place in life. ❤

You as well, Noora! How’s your weather there? We’re under a heat advisory and down on our knees praying for rain. 😉

Thank you! We experienced an exceptionally warm/hot spring, June was really lovely but July has been rather rainy – with some sunny days. They say the heat wave is on its way again. Hope the weather gods send you some rain soon! 🙂

It’s all good. At least we have a/c and we’re cool in the basement family room. Shouldn’t complain. Good luck at your end. I’d trade mine for Irish weather any day.

Can we recruit your beautiful words? I have a message today.
We have 140 contributions to date, and I am trying again to rope in as many contributors to the Poets for Peace challenge (in place until this the end of August). The many voices in response to this have been fantastic, and I’d love you to add yours (again, if applicable) if you can. Feel free to use an existing piece of writing or a new one asking for peace and/or about the troubled times in which we live.
If you are interested, please leave your poem in the comments section of Neha’s blog and it will be added. https://forgottenmeadows.wordpress.com/2016/07/16/calling-all-poetscreative-minds-to-a-grand-collaboration-poets-for-peace/comment-page-5/#comment-19287

This title reminds me of this song (not so much the music video itself): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_KfnGBtVeA Probably because the phrase “the point of no return” is used. 😀
Anyway, about your lovely piece… I absolutely adore your opening lines. This poem is enchanting from the very beginning!
My favorite part:
“But now
There is no need
To gaze up the night canvas
In order to seek
Infinite beauty
If somewhere is heaven
It is right here
In your eyes”
Wonderful work as always! ❤

Dear Noora,
dare I say the love you found
seems to be forever bound.
Yet on the topic of heaven and stars,
there have been fought far too many wars.
Cheerio, enjoy the wedding band,
