* We have an adopted cat called Leo. He’s the most lovable creature on the Earth!
* I’m a freelance journalist/writer in Finland, but I’d rather be a full-time poet on the island of Crete.

  1. passion is poetry. What matters is that it is meaningful to you. I love Pablo Neruda. One of my favorite poets of all time. How he takes the simple moments in life and makes them beautiful, how he takes the meaningful moments in time and makes them momentous.

      1. I think it’s important for writers to connect so we can share, encourage, support, and respond to others’ work. Even if we’re writing for ourselves, someone else’s view is always interesting.

              1. You may possibly be interested in another blog, called 20 Lines or Less. You can access it on my blog by clicking on the image for it in the sidebar….or putting the following in your address bar: anexerciseindiscipline.wordpress.com. You may want to join, so others can read your beautiful words. I am a co-editor there, and also write there. In December I had the pleasure of meeting its moderator, Melissa Hassard, when we were in North Carolina visiting my brother. She’s a delight, and she really fosters poets and writers of all kinds. She’s a kindred spirit. Check it out.

  5. If not anything, I could effortlessly spend hours simply looking at the above image. But how could I possibly do that upon an abode like this — one so poignant and eloquent in its offerings? Noora, your poetry is exquisite! And the “light” shining in your heart for your muse is serene.
A wonderful treat to be here. I shall be keenly looking forward to more “blood of your ink”.
Thank you for visiting me and leaving your imprints on my meek world.

  6. Noora,
Thanks for stopping by Aspiring to Inspire and liking “A Heart’s Hunger.” I am pleased that you have chosen to write. I agree there are many wonderful poets in the world, but that is not reason to not express our heart’s joys, desires and sadness. One never knows who our words will touch in a way that will provide hope to another – sometimes it may be the recognition that he or she is not alone and that is a lot! Keep on writing. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Hello fellow Leo AND INFJ. ๐Ÿ™‚ An INFJ is not very common… let alone one who is also a Leo. It’s exciting to meet another one. ^_^ Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I love yours… the look, the feel, and the content (most importantly).

      1. Ok, so I’m going to be in Crete for about a month this summer (my parents are building a house there) and I totally thought of you! If the house is ready, I’ll be sitting on the balcony writing poetry. Join me? Haha. ๐Ÿ™‚

          1. I hope you achieve that goal. ๐Ÿ™‚ If you have a burning desire for such a thing (which you obviously do), it shall be!! I’ll be going during my birthday month (for most of July). I still have to purchase the ticket. I’m excited! ๐Ÿ™‚

            1. I know I will โ€“ it’s just not the right time yet. I’ve stayed in Chania (Nea Chora) twice, and I was thinking about staying in Rethymno next time because I want to experience the eastern side of Crete and visit Spinalonga. Please, feel free to email me when you know your dates. ๐Ÿ™‚

              1. ๐Ÿ™‚ How strange that you mention Rethymno! That’s where I’m going! I’ll be staying in the village at the outskirts (Metochi). My mom is from there โ€” my dad is from Thessaloniki, so I’ll be going there for a short time as well. We all prefer Crete, though. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have you ever been to Knossos or know much about it? Now that was an amazing place to experience. I’ll definitely let you know.

                1. Wow!!!! I was thinking about going on July 10th or 11th, but something came up, and I haven’t been able to book my tickets/make any decisions yet. I spent a few hours in Rethymno two years ago when I was heading to Heraklion AND Knossos โ€“ it was an impressive experience. ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Noora, thank you for your support! Reading that you have a 14 yr old I chuckled remembering what our family doctor said to me when my kids turned that age. He asked, ‘So are you stupid yet?’. I was like, huh? lol. He said, ‘that is the age they begin to know everything and you don’t.’ I like your site layout and the poetry ๐Ÿ™‚
