Rebirth

Hope you all have an inspiring week, filled with love, laughter and good madness!

Echoes and Reflections

Roots IntertwinedMaybe we were trees
In our former life

Side by side
Roots deeply tangled
Branches barely touching
And when the Moon
Performed its sonata
Our leaves sang
The same melody

Lovers
Dreamers
Runaways
Found a safe haven
From our shelter

Seasons changed
People changed
Yet we were always
Growing together
In love and beauty
Side by side

Perhaps then
We decided that
We would be poets
In this life
Growing together
In love and beauty

Although
Seasons have changed
People have changed
And even we are no longer the same

Our roots still lie
Firmly
In a fertile soil

Sunset

SUNSET

At sunset
I lose myself
In the beauty
Of a vulnerable sky
Painted with
Sentimental afterglow

At twilight
I can hear
How the setting sun
Blissfully hums
An ancient lullaby
A promise of a reunion

Her infinite melody
Fills me with hope
Yet evokes
The deepest longing

At sunset
I lose myself
In poetry
For she is my stillness
And I am her words

It’s been a while…

PREDAWN

A haunting melody
Like a siren’s song
Tempts me to dive
Into sensual waters

Serendipitous eyes whisper:
Wordless promises
Delicate intentions
Unfulfilled longings

Yet I see nothing
But a fading sunset

Bittersweet predawn

PRAYER

When the dawn
Begins to play
The first chords
Of an acoustic prelude
And a nocturnal veil
Of the smiling stars
Slowly uncovers you
I hope that
The gentle messenger
Unveils your day
With my prayers
Silently lingering
In its ancient
Rays of hope

STARLESS

If
I will undress
My heart and soul
Beneath
The tragically beautiful
Night canvas

Expose my secrets
Strip off my metaphors
Bare my sorrow
Reveal my desire

If
I promise
To pull you in
With the first line
And keep your attention
Until there is
Nothing left
But purple utopia

Will you
Cover me
With the dust
Of the stars
You stole
From my night sky

Will you?

COME BACK TO ME

Dear muse

Come to me
Like a raging fire
Take me back
To the place
Where there is no yesterday
Or tomorrow
Just an infinite bliss

Tangled sheets
Non-stop laughter
Eyes closed, lips seeing
Dripping with new verses
Poetry at its finest

Dear muse

The fiery breaths
Between your kisses
Inspire me endlessly
So, come to me
Let’s drift back
Into poetic madness

Hey, remember me? Just a few random and unedited musings for my first post of the year. It’s GREAT to be back! I’ve truly missed the WP community – a place filled with talented and inspiring writers of all kind.

2015: new chances, new disappointments, new achievements, new experiences, new memories – something new to write about. I wish you all an unforgettable and inspiring 2015. Chase your dreams and make them your reality.

And now I’m off to read some of your latest posts. It’s been way too long!! Please bear with me, it may take a few days to complete the task.

Mosaic

In all of my
Fragility
I am strong

Formed by
Fragments of
Beauty and passion
Tragedy and loss
Fear and pain
Love and hope

A compilation
A recreation
Like a mosaic

And when
You
Cast your light
Upon me
I shine

Mosaics aren’t made by trying to put the broken pieces back together as if they had never been shattered. The beauty of mosaics lies in the endless possibilities. You’re the artist of your life – create a masterpiece!

This short piece poured out of me today. It’s dedicated to my friends. Thank you for lighting up my life & helping me to shine!

Visitor

When my journey
Takes me to
My final shore
What will I leave behind

Miles of memories
Fragments of beauty
Embers of hope
Or mere dust

Will I fade away
Slowly
Like a star
On the grieving sky
Or vanish
Like a dewdrop
In the warmth

My footprints
Will be washed away
By the emerging tide
Filled in
By the rushing water
But will they remember
Where I once walked

“One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time”André Gide.

That’s true. And, one does not discover their self without consenting to look beyond the present. …more in a comment.
