Too Early

Like impatient swans
In early spring
When the snow was still
Unwilling to melt
You flew into my world

Just a little too early

While my eyes were still
Desperately staring
At the horizon
Of my fading dreams

Like a serendipitous light
In midwinter
When the sun was still
Struggling to shine
You invited me to surrender

Just a little too early

While I was still
Learning
To fly
Again

But I do remember
The possibility
Of a new journey
When the swans
Arrive again
Just a little too early

To survive…

Rebirth

Hope you all have an inspiring week, filled with love, laughter and good madness!

Echoes and Reflections

Roots IntertwinedMaybe we were trees
In our former life

Side by side
Roots deeply tangled
Branches barely touching
And when the Moon
Performed its sonata
Our leaves sang
The same melody

Lovers
Dreamers
Runaways
Found a safe haven
From our shelter

Seasons changed
People changed
Yet we were always
Growing together
In love and beauty
Side by side

Perhaps then
We decided that
We would be poets
In this life
Growing together
In love and beauty

Although
Seasons have changed
People have changed
And even we are no longer the same

Our roots still lie
Firmly
In a fertile soil

Echoes and Reflections

Come
Walk with me
Where wildflowers bloom

Lie beside me
Beneath the irresistible sky
Point out
The constellations
You wish to fly to
I will take you there

The star chart is printed
On your skin
I will trace
My fingertips
Intimately
Across the beauty
I read like braille

Pausing

At the loveliest places
In order to forget
The world
But never you

Love,
Until the wildflowers
Begin to wither
In summer’s farewell

Come
Walk with me
Where all our journeys end

The Smile

Hopeful breaths
Frozen prayers
Create
Delicate ice flowers
On a windowpane

From somewhere
Out there
A serendipitous light
Draws me in
Through the wistful dusk

And I melt
Into serenity
Like the blooming frost
On a windowpane
In the touch
Of a warm miracle

Indian Summer

Bittersweet intimacy
Surrounds me
When the sun
Unexpectedly returns
To kiss me goodbye
From her hiding place
As if she couldn’t resist
My beckoning skin any longer

Her teasing rays
Remind me of the evenings
When I held her face
In my palms
Found my truth
In her welcoming gaze
And nirvana had never
Seemed so real before

I bask in sweet nostalgia
Desiring for a chance
For some sunlit hope
To help me get through
The darkening season
Yet I know, I have to let her go
And she disappears
As quietly as she appeared

Although the renewed blossoms
Of my dream
May wither
In her absence
The roots remain
Just like the smile that streamed
From her heart
Into mine
